What we Believe
Lakewood Church of the Nazarene is part of the global Church of the Nazarene, a Christian church rooted in the historic teachings of Jesus and the message of the Bible. Across the world, Nazarene churches share the same core beliefs: that God loves every person, that Jesus Christ offers forgiveness and new life, and that the Holy Spirit helps us grow into people who reflect the love and character of Christ.
At the center of our faith is a simple goal: making Christlike disciples. We believe following Jesus is not only about what we believe, but about who we become and how we live. As we grow in faith, we learn to love God more deeply and care for others more faithfully in our everyday lives.

The Church of the Nazarene is often described by three core values: Christian, Holiness, and Missional.

Christian
Defining our community as Christian means we place Jesus Christ at the center of everything we do.

Holiness
Being a Holiness people means we believe God continues to transform our hearts, helping us grow into people marked by love, humility, and integrity.

Missional
Being Missional means we believe the church exists not only for itself, but to serve others and share hope with the world around us.
At Lakewood Church of the Nazarene
you'll find a church that values people from every background and every stage of life.
We believe the church should look like the community around it, which is why we celebrate being both multicultural and multigenerational. Families, children, students, young adults, and seniors all have an important place here.
We also believe the message of Jesus is timeless, but the ways we share it can continue to grow and evolve. That's why we value innovative approaches to ministry, relevant teaching that speaks to real life, and a strong online presence that helps people stay connected wherever they are.
Above all, we want Lakewood to be a place where people feel known, supported, and encouraged as they explore faith and grow spiritually.
Our motto says it simply:
Welcome Home.
